A Short Story I Wrote

Jim the Butterfly

Once there was a butterfly. What was his name, you might ask? It was Jim. Jim the Butterfly. One day Jim the Butterfly went to a bar and the bartender said we can't serve you, you're a butterfly. And that's when Jim the Butterfly realized he was a butterfly. You see, his entire life he had been led to believe that he was a human who had been raised by butterflies and for some reason had wings and could fly. All of a sudden he understood why all the butterflies laughed at him whenever he would say things like "I'm certainly a human" and "Let's play human baseball" because butterflies couldn't play human baseball, they could only play butterfly baseball. So Craig, Eddie, Mike, Leo and Minky (that was his nickname because he once landed on a mink) went out to play butterfly baseball. And who should be standing there? Moses from the bible. But then he had to leave real quick and then Mike learned a lesson - don't cross the street without looking (he learned this because a guy ran up to the field and told him that his parents just died because they crossed the street without looking). Some folks say that the bar still exists, except the bartender is dead of old age because the story takes place in the 1400s.

Ok

This morning I heard the President talking about Russia, and I thought to myself, doesn't he mean Soviet Union? Because that's what it used to be called. But then I looked it up in a book and it turns out he's right. The Soviet Union and Russia are two different things. The Soviet Union is, in fact, France! Except they don't call France the Soviet Union anymore, they call France France. And that is how France got the name France.

Books provide a wealth of knowledge and I highly recommend them if you are interested in reading some things.

And then that thing

And that thing hopped

Huh?

I was walking down the street this morning thinking, what's up with birds? I mean, they fly so much these days, you might as well call them bees!

Whee!

I have a blog now! For those of you that don't know, "Blog" is short for "Weblog Blog". Now I can share my thoughts with you as they occur to me. They are still teaching me how to use this thing, so there are still some snags.

Pee and poop!

See? I didn't mean to type that.
